Should You Pay attention to Meditation Music Once you Meditate

You will find the colleges of meditation that say you shouldn't meditate to music, that you need to only meditate alone.

Meditation Music

But what if there was music that truly deepened your meditation? That merely by playing the music activity, you had been capable of experience far deeper states of meditation than you'll without hearing the background music.

First we must consider the thing that makes good meditation music.

Any meditation music where there is a drum beat needs to be thrown out. Because any drum beats or rhythms can keep your heart rate high which keeps from getting into the deep states of relaxation where true meditation happens.

One other thing consider is the thing that you are actually playing. If you are listening to music that is purely synthesized, meaning the particular sounds you hear are produced from electronically produced sound waves, then such music can present you with a headache and not be conducive to meditation.

Another thing to consider may be the meditation state with the musician making the background music. If the musician has attained a high state of meditation, then their meditative state will probably be recorded in the music that you simply hear.

Hymns

There are lots of "brain entrainment" audio programs available on the market. They're CDs in what are classified as "binaural beats." Binaural beats are two separate electronically produced sine waves, one took part in the left channel then one took part in the best channel. Those two sine wave drones are slightly different in frequency.

Relaxing Music

The idea behind binaural beats is because they manipulate your brainwaves into reducing, thus making a "meditative state."

Although such programs may take action, my experience is because they certainly are a hindrance to experiencing true states of meditation, not helpful. Plus they are as electronic as possible.

You'd be far better off listening to a chant or even a talk either on DVD or Audio CD of an enlightened teacher. By listening to their voice, their particular state of enlightenment gets transmitted to you through sound. Although it is probably not very musical naturally, meditating to the would deepen your meditation considerably.

But there's meditation music in the marketplace that does induce states of meditation naturally, without electronic sounds and without manipulating your brainwaves. Through special recording equipment, high states of meditation happen to be recorded and converted into sound. Therefore whenever you tune in to the background music, that same deep blissful state of meditation gets naturally awakened inside you.
